My heart goes out to everyone who was affected by the flood or has been displaced due to flooding. The past two weeks have been an emotional rollercoaster for our community, one of which we too have been riding. Emotions ranging from sadness, anger and fear, to love, faith and even some joy have all been flowing. Many of us have endured losses that will take a loooonnnngggg time to recover from. BUT, here we are......we are still standing! Thankfully, there was no life lost so, as hard as it is to say "It could've been worse", it very well could have. I was so humbled by the outreach of people during the flood. While I am sure that I will miss someone (I truly apologize) my heart overflows from all of the kindness and support that we received from our family, friends, employees and community! A very special "THANK YOU" goes out to all of you! Also, YES, I wrote a book so bear with me! Lol! 1. Hunter Roberts---for the call that I REALLY didn't want to answer! 2. My husband Cade and my sons Braxton & Brogan for supporting me through my craziness, mood swings and a whole lot of tears. 3. My Heroes----Bill Hannah, Carl Zube, Boone Stalsberg, my husband Cade and my brothers Derek & Dane for coming to the rescue and pumping gallons upon gallons of water out of my basement Wednesday night!!! It was filled to the top! 4. SECOND NATURE!!!!! These folks were ABSOLUTELY amazing. They showed up with a crew and went right to town hauling out the entire contents of my flooded basement! It was a nasty, dirty job and they "got er done"!!! They literally brought me to tears! 5. My Sister in Law Cori for bringing us a much needed lunch just when we needed it most! 6. Steve & Sue Campbell for stopping with Brown Bag Cheese Corner lunches for my clean up crew! Also, thank you to the Cheese Corner for donating some of the meals! 7. The Viroqua Football Team members that helped with sandbags to try to prevent this disaster! 8. The Readstown Fire Department, Village Workers, Police Officers and all the other Emergency Crews who kept us safe throughout the flooding and who went countless hours without sleep. Also, thanks to the RFD for helping us find our parking lot back! Lol! 9. Our amazing family and friends......honestly, without you guys there IS no us! Gene & Deb Cary, my Mom & Dad, Ami Abbie & Hailey Dregne, Mary & Trevor Thurin, Tonia Primmer, Bill, Stacey, Truck & Reagan Hannah, Rob, Janelle & Lucas Oldham, Boone Stalsberg, Troy McGregor, Clay Heath, Beth Vold, Eric Anderson, Cole Cary, Will Buckles, Nate Noggle, Brandon Mickelson and Carl Zube. 10. A huge "THANK YOU" to my incredible staff who stood by side and many of which were right there with me in the nasty, dirty mess helping us get back up and running! Melissa, Laurie, Kat, Justin, Chelsea, Sharde, Viola, Valerie, Terry, Avery, Olivia, Johnny, Jackie, Laura, Diana and Joyce. You guys truly are the BEST!!!! 11. Baraboo SYSCO for the Refrigerated/Freezer Semi Trailer. Thanks to them, we were able to save some of our inventory! 12. Lastly, "THANKS" to all of our wonderful customers! All of your messages, thoughts, prayers and support were greatly appreciated and we are SO glad to be able to once again serve you! Ooohhh, and a very special thank you to Pastor Chuck for what he and his wife did for my staff!!!
Again, my heartfelt thanks go out to all of you! It ALL meant more than you could ever know! Love, Dionne
